favorite for stripping corn
I, or actually my husband, loves this corn stripper. He likes corn on the cob, but not eating the corn off the cob. It slices the corn easily. There is no mess as everything stays in the container and fingers are not in danger. This is my second one. One for the home and one for our farm cabin.

Easier (and safer!) than using a knife
Does what it says, not completely mess free, but much better than using a knife. Read from another reviewer to cut the kernels off BEFORE cooking...which would eliminate my difficulty of handling the hot ear...so why did I not think of that!!!

Fried Corn Made Easy
My family loves fried corn. Taking the kernels off the cob by knife is a messy procedure. When we saw this "new" product in your Chef's catalog, we had to try it. It works so well, is quicker to use than the old way with a knife, and an extremely handy addition to the kitchen.

FINALLY !
I have tried numerous corn strippers over the years and this is by far the easiest to use and the most efficient. I used to try different items and always went back to just using a knife. This is a keeper !

Best Corn Stripper I've used.
I make a creamed corn that requires stripping the cob. For the last couple of years I have used the OXO corn stripper that was available that looks more like a corn (as in foot) remover. It worked well, but produced a little bit of a mess. This new one is terrific, the mess is minimized by having the catcher for the kernels to go into. I stripped four cobs in less than a minute. Really great product!!!!

Much faster!
So much easier than using a knife! Still leaves a small row of kernels at bottom (as to be expected). Directions do not tell you whether to cook the corn on the cob first, but don't! Take kernels off while raw, then cook in butter & small amount of boiling water 5-7 minutes. Excellent tool!

Easy and no mess
Finally, I have found a corn stripper that actually works and is very convenient to use and easy to disassemble, clean and assemble.
