New favorite for soups & stews
We love these well-crafted sets. The bowls are generously sized and fit the plate wells securely. Perfect for soup served with crackers and cheese (our standard Sunday evening fare), these have become instant favorites in our household. They were admired by friends at a recent luncheon of stew and cornbread. While a bit heavier than expected, I think it adds to the sense of enduring quality.

A Luncheon Favorite
The soup & sandwich set are good quality, sturdy ceramic and allow for a good-sized bowl of soup or stew and a sandwich or bread to go along with it. Very happy with the purchase!

LOVE THESE!!!
These are nice and large and super bright white. I love these for formal and casual dining! The down side is one came chipped around the rim of the cup so I need to return for a replacement, otherwise these are wonderful!

LOVE IT!...
I love my soup & sandwich set. I use them all the time. A friend of mine, after having lunch at my house (I used my soup/sandwich set) told me when she got home, she went on-line and ordered her own set. Thank you, CHEFS.

Just what I've been looking for!!
CHEFS Soup and Sandwich Set are not only beautiful, they are sturdy and well made. And, the food looks lovely on the white porcelain. The set is the perfect item for using when enjoying soup and a sandwich! The porcelain cup is just the right size for a nice portion of soup with a handle that makes it easy to sip the soup down to the last drop while keeping it warm throughout the meal! And the tray has enough room for even a hefty sandwich for those with bigger appetites. But don't limit the use for soup and sandwich! I've used mine for salad and sandwich as well as breakfast of egg and veggie scramble with a side of mixed fruit as well as so many other combinations for every meal. Great purchase that will be well used in my household for years to come!

Love this set!
Excellent quality and just the right size; plenty of room for 2 cups of soup and an oversized sandwich. With a little imagination, many more uses in addition to Soup and Sandwich. After using this set for a year (or so), we bought a second set for company.

Almost perfect
We used to have cut glass dessert plates with the world's tiniest glass coffee cups. We were looking for something a little more versatile and functional. After searching several sites, we found this set at Chefs. Obviously it is designed for soup and sandwich, but we have served coffee and dessert using our usual coffee mugs (instead of the soup mugs) with the soup well as a saucer. We prefer the porcelain dinnerware over stoneware (offered elsewhere) because it does not get marred with those ugly metallic scratches. The mugs are just the right size for a side-of-soup serving (about 2 average ladels). The sandwich well would fit a standard loaf slice of bread. The only reason we gave these 4 stars instead of 5 was because many of the trays (ordered 8) are warped or bowed such that they do not stack flatly and could present a slightly precarious tilt if balanced on your lap. As we intended to use these versatiley with company, the ability to balance on your lap was important to us.
