Kitchen Aid Stars Again
Love my new food processor, and slow cooker, both by the same company. All my appliances are Kitchen Aid, and they all are stars. The food processor can handle any task with excellent results, and the slow cooker is the best I have ever had. This is a company I feel like I can depend on for quality.

fantastic machine
This is a big machine. But it has the HP to get the job done. I have kneeded dough in under a minute. I have sliced Cheese ,Shredded cheese and chopped nuts . It is easy to change blades and easy clean up after the job . It is a wonderful machine to own. I would recommed it highly, to any one no matter what your kitchen skill level is, It makes cooking a joy.

My Kitchen is my garage and this is my Mercedes!
This is my favorite tool in my kitchen! It is so versatile, quiet and easy to clean, fast and prescise. I can not say enough wonderful things about it. My cooking habits are to create mostly from scratch and fresh garden items. I was pleasantly surprised when I was able to slice my celery stalks as if I had used a knife to do so. Most machines will distort celery or the strings get hung up, ect. But no! This machine was done is a matter of seconds and very precise. Carrotts shredded are great, cabage chopped, oh list goes on and on. And the color Espresso matches my Kitchenaid blender and stand up mixer perfectly. Can't find the Espresso color anywhere else but here. This machine is worh the $$$ and will definately be a well used item for years to come. Thanks Kitchenaid!

No More Ground Meat
We bought this product because I have been hearing about the advantages of making "Ground Beef" in a food processor rather than a meat grinder. Boy were they right. My first product was venison that I "chopped" with some beef fat; best burger we have ever made. Then my wife used it to make potatoes au gratin. This is a well built machine that we should be using for a long time.

A new favorite for my kitchen.
Not as complicated to use as Cuisinart. Wish the large Feed Tube locked.

didn't work out for me
I agree with the other poster - the finger holes in the round slicing and shredding blades allow large chunks of food through. In addition, the adjustable thickness mechanism didn't seem to work - pressing on the veggie to keep pushing it through the opening seemed to move the thickness mechanism to it's widest opening - I could never get a thin slice. The machine is about 3 months old - it would never grind parmesan cheese for me, and today when I took it out to use on veggies, the chopping blade spins, but does not engage the food, and doesn't process it at all. I may have gotten a "lemon", but it's been exasperating enough that I'm going to replace it with a different brand. Oh - for an older woman like myself, removing the top of the container was almost impossible - took a great deal of strength to twist it and pull up to remove. Same with removing the chopping blade - required lots of strength. Overall, I can't say anything good about this machine, but again, perhaps I got a "lemon".

Holes in the discs are problematic
Having had a Cuisinart since the 80s, I had been happy with it. When I went to replace it, I bought this one. I liked the small bowl that came with it, but the disc has large holes in it. The two large holes allow large chunks of carrots or other vegetables I am trying to shred finely to get through. The thickness of the slices is good, but the holes still allow many large chunks to get through.
