The perfect addition to my cookware.
I have all the Thermolon fry pans and love them. In fact I bought a set for my sister they are so good. So I was happy to see they were making Dutch ovens. The six quart is the perfect size and has quickly become the workhorse in my kitchen.

Great Dutch Oven!
Just cooked a pot of chili in this and no sticking...could wipe it clean with a paper towel. Large pot, but not too heavy to lift for someone with arthritis.

What Did I Wait So Long?
After almost 45 years of continuous use, I decided it was time to replace my beloved Revereware pots and pans. This, believe it or not, was a wrenching decision. What pushed me along was seeing these pots and pans on the Chefs.com website. I decided to start small with a fry pan. I have now graduated to Dutch ovens and larger fry pans and pots.
These cook beautifully, once you get used to using less oil/butter/etc. and using lower temperatures. They clean up like a dream. Though expensive they are worth the price!
I use my Dutch oven for sauces and larger servings. It makes cooking easy and fun!
Was it worth my waiting all this time to replace my Revereware? ABSOLUTELY!

Dutch Oven with Lid
Love the pan for ease of cleaning, however, I have experienced problems with making pudding....scorches on the bottom even when stirring constantly.

worth the extra money
I have to admit I was a bit hesitant, due to the cost.
I am majorly impressed with the weight of the product and the durability of the finish!!
I am familiar with the zwilling J.A. Henckels name (as I own a fabulous knife set as well)
That was just the reassurance I needed to pull the rigger and purchase.

Incredible Cookware
First, the Thermolon is everything I had hoped for. No PTFE and completely non-stick. Even rinsing it off with water, surprisingly little water remains on the surface. The dutch oven itself is very solidly made and the heating is very even. Only time will tell about the longevity of the Thermolon, but so far I highly recommend this dutch oven.

Henckels Thermolon 6 qt Dutch Oven
Got this to replace an older stainless dutch oven. We have now used it about a dozen times on our gas stove. It heats evenly and works great for making soups and larger batches of rice. The multi-layer construction goes up the sides too so stuff doesn't burn onto the sides of the pot. The thermolon coating is smooth and makes cleanup very easy (just a quick swipe with a soapy sponge) compared to the old stainless pot which often required scrubbing hard. Its a ceramic based non-stick coating so doesn't have the concerns about teflon and is more tolerant of higher cooking temps. Love the see-thru lid too-we can check on cooking progress without opening the lid.
