I should have purchased this years ago! No more knives jumbled up in the drawer! So handy and it looks beautiful on the wall, too. I'm sure there will be less wear and tear on my knives, as well. Love, love, love it!

Best bang for your buck!
I purchased one of the 20" bars about 6 years ago. I absolutely love it. I decided to purchase 2 of the 15" bars so i could make a knife briefcase. These worked perfectly!!! Thank you Chefs catalog!!

Great
I love these knife holders. I have a 20" & a 15" to fit in a corner. The magnets are really strong & classy looking. You can always see what knife you need unlike the angled wood blocks. You must be careful about ALWAYS ALWAYS having the knives pointing downward & the sharp edges away from you. If you have great knives you have to have these holders to show them off, especially if you have Shuns. P.S. the magnets won't work with Kyocera knives. Hope this information helps you if are thinking about buying them. They make great gifts for "wanta be" chefs too.........like me, a old retired accountant with not alot of hair left.

Pretty good knife holder
This knife holder looks great on the wall and holds a lot of knives. Only drawbacks were 1) I couldn't figure out that the black tabs on the sides had to be popped out to hang the bar, and had to call customer service. A little diagram wouldn't have hurt. And 2) the frame of the holder is wider than the flat middle part, so the only magnetic part that is usable is the frame, which works for most knives but is a little iffy for holding a heavier item like a heavy-duty pair of scissors.

Not a gadget -- a NECESSITY!
A much improved version of an old magnetic knife holder I used to have. The 20" is good in that it can be mounted on an angle in a smaller space and the knives are still secure and easy to retrieve. The wall mount frees counter space normally used for the clunky knife storage block.
