Ice Annihilator
I needed a blender that could chop large ice cubes (from trays) and this baby does it - and how. There's only two speeds - high and turbo. It is kinda loud, but only for a few seconds because that's all it takes. If you want a blender that turns frozen anything into smooth and creamy (add a little liquid of course), this is it. No pulse, chop, or frappe settings - just Bam! and Bam Bam! - you're done.

great power, great price
I researched alot of high power blenders, most or them way out of my price range, until I saw this one. read reviews on many sites and comments... i liked the power and price so i decided to give it a try. I am SO glad i did. I know this blender would work all day long it has a presence, only a true piece of commercial equipment has. I make MOLE and SALSA everyday and i love this blender. Also, available and recommended is a 2nd blender jar.

A Glorified Motor
I bought this blender for the purpose of making fitness drinks - basically protein / weight gain - that I also add ice to for a thick shake. The blender I had just didn't do the job (or at least I thought). This blender really disappointed me. For one thing, on high it's as loud as a 747 jet engine. You almost need ear plugs to use on a regular basis to avoid hearing damage. Next, with ice (almost a cup of milk with about the same of ice and then the protein or weight gain powder) it still ices up and takes quite a bit of time to start blending even with constant moving it from side to side to get it going. I got the same with my original blender that I only paid $60 for and without the noise. The last thing I would like to say is that the carafe leaves a lot to be desired. It's very hard to see the measurements as they are as clear as the carafe itself. This makes it very hard to see how much you are putting into it. That leads to the title of this review - all this is, is a glorified motor and nothing more and not worth the money for me.

Incredibly powerful blender
This 2-speed blender is amazingly powerful. Its 1 HP motor and 27000 rpm whizzes through everything in a fraction of the time required by my old blender. Great for hot foods and cold, iced drinks. I'm very happy with this product and highly recommend it.
