Care Instructions

• Slicer/Shredder housing and cones are dishwasher safe.
• Shaft is not dishwasher safe.
• Some foods such as carrots may stain the housing. These stains may be removed by placing in dishwasher and using cycle for normally soiled dishes or by rubbing a small amount of oil or shortening over the stains and washing in warm sudsy water.

KitchenAid Slicer Great For Large Quantity I guess this would apply to any mechanical slicer, if you only have a small amount to slice or shred, do it by hand. It takes about 3-4 minutes to get this put together. But it is really fast once set up. I shredded an entire cabbage for slaw in 5 minutes. I would buy it again. February 8, 2013

Win, win, win... So far I have only used the slicer blade, but it works like a charm. In no time I had evenly sliced cabbage and onions for the dish I was making. Everything cleans up in a snap, and it is simple to connect and disconnect from the power hub on the mixer. I am VERY happy with my purchase, and the price here was the best I found followed by very prompt delivery. November 10, 2011

Easiest shredding ever I love my KitchenAid and now after using my slicer/shredder I love it even more. I was able to shredd a 2 pound block of colby cheese in less than a minute and it was fun. Can't wait to slice some veggies. May 30, 2011

Replaced a FAVORITE mixer attachment! I's so old that I've worn out two other KitchenAid slicer and shredder attachments!!!!!! Seriously, I love to cook, and this attachment saves me lots of time. My only complaint would be that the housing cracks with time. April 16, 2013
