Lifetime investment
I have several pieces of LeCreuset cookware. Three are the cast iron like this one. It is the best for making stews or roasting. I use my 3qt braiser all the time. I roasted chicken in this 6.75qt the other evening. It performs perfectly. I also have several pieces of the LeCreuset stoneware.
I highly recommend LeCreuset. High quality and worth the price!

A little expensive but well worth the money
For anyone unfamiliar with Le Creuset, it is absolutely top of the line cookware. Perfect for stove top to oven to fridge. Add to that perfect heating characteristics and exceptionally easy cleanup, it's the perfect cooking vessel.
Chefs, as always...painless ordering by phone or on-line with quick delivery.

Great Product
I am very pleased with the Le Creuset French Oven. It is a quality product and in my opinion the best in enameled cookware. I highly recommend this. This is my first Le Creuset but it will not be my last.

Perfection
After 20 years this Dutch oven, in a delicious dark brown color, is still going strong. There are no chips in the enamel, the interior surface is still very presentable; and the exterior enamel is minimally stained by cooked-on spills. (They could be cleaned off- I am working on this). It is the perfect size for all braises, roasting a duck or a large chicken, a bouillebaisse, or a cassoulet. The straight sides give you a large bottom surface for the initial browning of meats. The lid is heavy and seals in the contents well. I easily replaced a broken lid handle once; and of course the whole pot has a lifetime guarantee- any time- no receipt required.
The design is simple and authentic- I have never tired of it.

better than advertised
What a great casserole. I had resisted spouses attempts to buy one related to high price, finally gave in. It is indeed worth the money. Now believe "don't turn burner above medium"....things cook much quicker and at much lower temps. Have it in Kiwi/ cheerful lime green and decided not to store it in cupboard............sits on stove and is so bright to look at.
