Another hit from Le Creuset!
I own a number of Le Creuset pieces and think this 7 1/2 quart pot is a true winner. Functional but still manageable...even when filled with something yummy. Just make sure you have upper body strength to hoist it from a hot oven safely!

A Complete Pot
This pot has already become my favorite. For the first dish I prepared, I had to do justice to the name so I prepared a large pot of bouillabaisse for my guests. The openness of the form made it easy to introduce crab legs into the dish and the large handles provided secure and sturdy leverage for handling this large pot. The craftsmanship of all Le Creuset products is well documented... and appreciated by those that take cooking seriously and own these fine pieces. This pot will become an heirloom in our family.

Great pot for stews, chilis, etc.
This is my first Le Creuset, but it won't be my last. Pricey but completely worth it. Can saute, brown, and simmer in the same pot. All the benefits of my cast iron - hot without burn spots - but easier clean up. Some newer cast iron will lose seasoning with long simmering liquids...not a problem here. Be warned it's a heavy item - not for those without strong arm muscles.

I love this pot!
The pot is beautiful and cooks consistently. The rounded sides allow the soups and sauces to cook evenly. Be prepared, the pot is heavy empty and really heavy when full. Since the pot is so beautiful, I leave it on the stove and serve directly from the pot!
