I don't know why I waited so long.
This is a large pot, however, I have used it to boil large servings of pasta and also with just enough liquid to steam vegetables for a family of four, and the results were the same - fantastic! This pot is not a non-stick coated pan, yet, if used with the proper amount of fat or liquid, it is just as easy to clean up as a non-stick. The heat is even throughout the cooking surface. On top of everything else, it looks beautiful! I don't know why I waited so long to replace my old pots but everything I have ordered from Chefs has been well worth the wait!

A GREAT MULTICOOKING POT
The All-Clad Stainless Steel 12 QT Multicooker is A GREAT MULTICOOKING POT! I love it, you can cook your pasta, then while it's cooking, you can put your veggies in the basket and steam them at the same time. Multicooker multitasking!!! Just keep an eye on it so it doesn't boil over and mess up your stove. You know how starch acts in water.)

great purchase
I have had all-clad cookware for more than 30 years and recently decided to add some new pieces. This multicooker replaced a thin aluminum one--what a difference! this is a sturdy, well-made pot, very versatile, great for pasta, have also used it for steaming vegetables. I expect to hand it down to my children

The Usual Experience
We have a Multicooker of our own so I purchased one for my daughter. She was thrilled. It will suit her needs forever. The twelve quart was a perfect size for her. And she wasted no time trying it out for us over the holidays.
Most of our cookware is All-Clad so we like to spread the news by making sure our children use it. Besides, they all look great hanging from our pot rack!

Useful but.....
I too agree with the first reviewer, MOMMYBELL, you need to use lots of water to use the pot for pasta and by doing that it will "spit" water onto you stovetop while the pasta is cooking in the past insert. I still use it for pasta but very carefully. I love the steamer insert and I love the size of the pot. I can cook a New England Boiled dinner or Corned Beef and Cabbage with room to spare. I have other Stainless All-Clad pieces and this one is made well but keep in mind if you are looking for all stainless, this is brushed stainless on the pot as shown in the picture. The lid and the inserts are the shiny stainless. That doesn't bother me because I was looking for a good quality All-Clad piece that I didn't have to mortgage my house! I am happy with my purchase and would recommend.

kitchen monster
Just like we expected with the all clad name. Very well built beatiful and works great. We can prepare enough pasta, steamed vegetables soups or stews for our entire family. Great when having guests. It also came with the good service we have come to expect from chef's

A solid, high quality multicooker
This multicooker is the last one I'll ever have to buy. It is high quality stainless, heavy for holding heat and the inserts and lid fit nicely.

Big!
I own other All-Clad products and love them all so I am positive this one would be comparable. I was buying this as a replacement for a 40-year-old 8-quart aluminum pot w/steamer and pasta insert. HOWEVER, I blew it! I really didn't realize how big a 12-quart pot would be when I ordered it. When it came, I was overwhelmed. As I am 71 years old and my partner is 72, neither he nor I would feel safe carrying such a large heavy pot; even the pasta insert alone would be too heavy. I love the pot but I can't use it :-( Therefore, I repackaged it and will be returning it as soon as we can get to a FedEx store.
