Best press ever!
I have purchased garlic presses off and on over the past 20 years. After one try, they end up in a drawer until they end up in the donations box. And I continue to mince by hand. The Kuhn RiKon is comfortable to use, easy to clean, and completely crushes the clove. It's the perfect gift idea for all my cooking friends out there!

Perfect
Kuhn Rikon products are top of the line. So I am not surprised that this garlic press is by far the best on the market! Ergonomically easy to use. The garlic comes through easily and is not "smashed" like others do.

Kuhn Rikon Epicurean Garlic Press
It is a dream come true! I looked a long time for a solid garlic press that could not break, instead, I found a beautifully crafted work of art. This press is the most hand fitted tool in my kitchen. It makes crushing garlic and ginger root, for my lemon and ginger tea, an easy task. I'm in love with this tool, it is gorgeous to look at , easy to clean and I use it everyday. A most Innovative design.

Powerful Little Performer!!!!
This is the best garlic processing gadget - EVER!! Very efficient and powerful! Makes paste of large cloves of garlic effortlessly! Minimum exertion on the hands to operate this. Also cleans up easily as you can throw it into the dishwasher.

Fantastic!
I use garlic many times a week and I finally decided to splurge on Kuhn Rikon based on reviews from America's Test Kitchen. I am very pleased with how it works and it is much easier to clean than my old Zyliss. I highly recommend if you mince lots of garlic.

Now I only need to use it
This review is simply an 'upon opening review' as I have yet to use my garlic press only 1 day old.
I got this press not because I don't like the so called real chef's choice, smashing and chopping, done it for years, but because its fast, I'm lazy, I don't have to touch and handle garlic so intimately, and as much as I like garlic and I really like garlic, I don't enjoy using it as my perfume of choice. I don't like finding hours later after washing and sanitizing my hands as I inadvertently raise my finger near my nose the garlic smell is still there.
Don't know what you experience but I have tried to cleanse the smell and not succeeded. So, it is my fondest hope that I get to indulge my palette but not smell like that cook who made it.
I bought it in spite of some well meaning negative reviews. Upon opening the press, I found it well constructed in China (even the Swiss outsource) with pieces that fit and worked well. I can't wait to use it.
Unfortunately for some reason, careless packing, banging against another one in a box or whatever there was a small blemish/ding on the handle, very small, but noticeable to the touch.
I used to make my stainless steel sink shine and had discovered that scotch-brite pads if used in the original direction of the satin finish made my sink look new. I like it looking new so I applied the same technique to the nicked satin handle and although not entirely gone it is now impossible to feel. Then a thorough cleaning with 'Barkeepers Friend' and although the fine name label disappeared (don't like labels anyway), my new garlic press is even more beautiful.
I just couldn't bring myself to get to old fashioned staple aluminum press my mother used and many people enjoy. Just not fond of ingesting aluminum in any form any more, don't think it is good for you.
Like I said I can't wait to try it. One review that clinched the deal for me was that the garlic extruded was or just the right texture to cook well, not to big and not too fine and smooshed. I hope that this is true, that the garlic browns evenly in oil, that it leaves just large enough pieces that you can find them with your tongue, yet not have to chew them down to size.
I am optimistic about all this and will savory this weekend when I can relax and cook something nice and I enjoy rather than just stuffing my face for nourishment which tends to happen in spite of my efforts otherwise. For me not every meal is a gourmet but I can hope.

Nice Garlic Press
I have purchased many garlic presses in the past, always looking for just the right one. Well, I think this is "the one!" It is very easy to use, and cleans up easily. A little too expensive, but hopefully it will be the last one I have to purchase for a vey long time.
