It is a great size for a single person.
I like everything about the product except the 30 minutes automatic shut off, I would prefer that it be an hour.

It's perfect for me . . . but . . .
This little coffee maker is perfect for me. I really have no use for a 12 cup coffee maker and small ones are hard to find.
But . . . I question that it is a four cup unit. Cusinart seems to think that a cup is 5 ozs. while I consider a cup to be 8 ozs. Therefore, it is really only 2 1/2 cups. which fits my needs nicely. I'm quite happy with it but I'm not sure everyone else will be since the catalog does not mention the 5 oz. cup size.

Nice reliable 4 cup coffee maker.
I really don't know or have the same problems as the other people who reviewed this product negatively. No problems pouring and no problems taking the pot out.
That said, this is pretty much a no frills coffee maker. Priced well, sturdy, and functions well. It also stows away easily when not in use. Clean up is a cinch. You can clean just about ever inch with a sponge. Good bang for buck.

Finally - the perfect coffee maker
This little Coffee Maker was bought for my husband. He's the coffee drinker in the family. Poor thing suffers from Rheumatoid Arthritis of the knuckles and has a hard time holding onto objects. He has had quite a few mishaps with glass carafes. When I found this model with the S/S carafe - I had the solution. It works well, keeps the coffee warm, easy to handle and wash and I now have a happy hubby.
Another benefit is the size - it does not hog the counter top..... and it's a pretty good-looking appliance!

Great for Office Too!
I gave this to my husband for Xmas to take to his office. It's a small price to pay to economize on his pricey coffee habit! Now when he wants his afternoon cupa joe pick-me-up, he can make the coffee of his choice - himself. So far he's very happy with it.

back to the dawing board
This Cuisinart 4-cup coffe maker is great as far as the business of brewing is concerned: fast, turns off as it should. The carafe, however, has a plastic rim inside near the top, and this prevents the coffee from being poured properly. One has to turn it upside down after pouring the first cup. This flaw needs correcting before one can recommend this appliance.
Also the plastic seems flimsy. I take care of it, but won't let anyone else touch it, they'd break bits off.

perfect size and great value
perfect size for me. I only drink 1 - 2 cups aday. this size of coffee maker and its quality is what i was looking for. great value for the money.

Great the best there is.
Had this pot before and loved it. I live alone and this is just right for me.
