Great Shears
I bought these shears last year and love them so much that I bought a set for both sisters and my mother-in-law. They are fantastic for butterflying a whole chicken. I've also used them to separate pork ribs and they are great!

Excellent design
These shears are extraordinarily well made and easier to clean than any others I have seen. They are very sturdy, sharp, and disassemble in seconds. Each half is machined from solid, surgical stainless-steel. The surfaces are polished to prevent any cracks or crevices for contamination. This is an important consideration when handling poultry. One downside to this construction is that the handles can get slippery so it is best to hold them in one hand and use the other to handle the bird. Otherwise...well you get the idea. Frankly this is a minor annoyance compared to the overall excellence of these shears.
A friend saw mine, tried them and was equally impressed. Guess what she is getting for Christmas. These are terrific.

Loose Spring issue
I've owned my kitchen shears for a couple of years. Good quality, they cut well, are easy to clean. The disadvantages are: You need a large man's hand to use it with only one hand and if the scissors open accidentally too much, the spring dislocates and gets bent when you squeeze the scissors back together without noticing the problem. Just recently, it happened to me a second time.

Worth every penny
I compared these shears to others costing up to 3 times as much and this one seems to be every bit as good. I cannot comment on the durability since I have only had it for a couple of weeks but it has did every task I needed it to do. While heavy, the shape allows for a good balanced grip so it does not seem unwieldy.
The way it completely comes apart for cleaning is great. Overall I am very pleased.

Well Made
I use this for cutting chicken, meats, etc. It is well made and very durable and can be taken apart for easy cleaning.

Mother's Helper
I purchased these shears to cut through the tough undershell of lobsters in preparation for broiling. They withstand the pressure needed to do the cutting. Once finished, they are so easy to clean. You just disassemble, wash, dry and reassemble. The lock prevents cutting oneself and especially great to prevent little ones from getting hurt when they think to use Mommy's scissors found in a drawer.

Quest for perfect kitchen shears continues
I saw Jacques Pepin using these shears on one of his programs to cut up a chicken. It looked so effortless when he did it, I decided to buy the same ones.
Well, I think Jacques has stronger/bigger hands than I do. While these shears are really sharp, I have to struggle a bit to use them. I still use them, but my hunt for the perfect shears continues.

Great Find!! Poultry Bones Has Met Their Match!!!
I used to have a very rough time trying to cut through poultry and its bones with a knife because of the many bones that had to be dealt with! This item definitely now makes it a real breeze!! No more fighting with chickens to butterfly them or cut them in half for broiling!
Ever been fighting with a chicken to cut it up for baking, stewing or frying? That has all been done away with and it's a thing of the past! And cleaning the shears has never been easier!
Washing them by hand is a cinch. And the entire shiny stainless steel body will NEVER rust. Ever!! As can happen with carbon steel or chrome-plated shears.
Since getting these powerful shears, I never had to struggle or fight with a chicken again! This is heaven!! You'll wonder how you ever got along without it!!
