1. Empty cabbage or slaw mix into large mixing bowl.
2. Slice red bell pepper into thin slices.
3. Chop onion into small pieces.
4. Add onion and red bell pepper to cabbage.
5. Mix oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, red pepper and sugar in a small bowl.
6. Add oil and vinegar mix to vegetables.
7. Toss to coat evenly.
8. Let rest five minutes, then toss again.
9. Refrigerate overnight before serving.
