Brie & Apple Panini
A delicious blend of cheese and fruit.
Ingredients

1/2-inch slices country bread, such as batard
|

|
olive oil for brushing
|
|
4 ounces
|
brie, sliced thinly
|
|
1
|
Granny Smith apple, cored and sliced thinly
|
|
|
freshly ground black pepper
|
Cooking Instructions
Preheat a panini press according to manufacturer's instructions.
Brush one side of each bread slice lightly with olive oil. Place 4 of the bread slices oiled side down onto a work surface, and then place slices of brie on the bread, then layer with apple slices and season with pepper. Top with the remaining 4 bread slices, oiled side up.
Place the sandwiches on the preheated panini press and cook according to manufacturer's instructions until the sandwich is hot, the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melting.
Cut each sandwich in half and serve immediately.
Makes 4 servings.
