Sausage and Vegetable Quiche
Ingredients

1 9-inch

pie crust (deep-dish works best)

3/4 pound
|
Italian sausage
|
|
1 1/2 cups
|
cheddar cheese, grated
|
|
1/3 cup
|
onion, diced
|
|
1/3 cup
|
bell pepper, diced
|
|
1
|
jalapeno, diced (seeds and pithe removed)
|
|
2 tablespoons
|
water
|
|
2
|
eggs, beaten
|
|
1 cup
|
milk (rice & soy can also be used)
|
|
2 cloves
|
garlic, minced
|
|
1/2 teaspoon
|
garlic salt
|
|
1/2 teaspoon
|
pepper
|
|
2 tablespoons
|
olive oil
|
Cooking Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Brown sausage in skillet, drain. Saute onion, bell pepper and jalapeno in a skillet using olive oil. Add garlic when mixture is almost done. Spread mixture evenly in pie crust. Combine remaining ingredients and pour into shell over sausage mixture.
Place on a cookie sheet and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until brown.
