Roasted Guacamole (Medium)


1/2 cup onion, chopped
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 package guacamole mix (optional)
1 teaspoon garlic, chopped
1/2 cup tomatoes, diced
1 cup avocados, chopped
7 ounces roasted green chilies, diced (fresh, frozen or canned)

Cooking Instructions

Flavor tip: Taste as you go to find your personal preference.

1. Chop onion, avocado, garlic and chilies.

2. In a medium sauté pan, mix chopped onion, lemon juice, guacamole mix, garlic and chilies together.

3. Sauté for 10 minutes then remove from heat and let cool. You can put the mixture in the refrigerator to cool more quickly.

4. Chop 1 cup avocado using your mortar and pestle or a sturdy fork or a masher then add to cooled mixture.

5. Combine chopped avocado and cooled mixture well.

6. Serve with tortilla chips. We recommend lime flavored.
