Cheesy Herbed Waffles

Cheesy Herbed Waffles


1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 large eggs
1-1/2 cups milk
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 tablespoon whole grain mustard
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
1/2 cup fresh parsley, minced
2 tablespoon fresh rosemary, minced
2 tablespoon fresh basil, minced
1/4 cup shallot, minced
2 scallions using white and green, minced

Cooking Instructions

Preheat waffle maker. Spray waffle plates with nonstick spray or light coat of oil.

In a large bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. In a medium bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, butter and mustard. Add wet ingredients to dry, and whisk together. Stir in Parmesan, parsley, rosemary, basil, shallots, and scallions.

Ladle batter into waffle maker, according to manufacturer's directions, and close plates. Cook 4 to 5 minutes or until golden brown. Continue the same with remaining batter.
