|1/4 teaspoon||ground cinnamon|
Serrated Utility Knife
Preheat the broiler.
With a sharp serrated knife, slice a thin piece off each end of the grapefruits so they will not rock. Slice each grapefruit in half and place them cut-side up on a baking sheet. With the serrated knife, slice around the perimeter of the flesh and along the edge of each section to loosen them.
In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the grapefruits. Broil for 5 to 10 minutes, or until the sugar begins to bubble and caramelize. Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
