Cowboy Burgers

2 poundsground beef
8 ouncesbacon, cooked and cut in 1/2-inch pieces
8 ouncessharp cheddar cheese, coarsely shredded
1/2 cupfinely chopped red onion
2jalapeƱo peppers, finely chopped
2 clovesgarlic, minced
1 teaspoonsea salt
1 teaspoonfreshly ground black pepper

In a large mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients. Divide the mixture into 8 portions. Using your hands or a hamburger press, form each portion into a patty. Cook on a hot grill until desired doneness.
