Sausage and Vegetable Quiche

1 9-inchpie crust (deep-dish works best)
3/4 poundItalian sausage
1 1/2 cupscheddar cheese, grated
1/3 cuponion, diced
1/3 cupbell pepper, diced
1jalapeno, diced (seeds and pith removed)
2 tablespoonswater
2eggs, beaten
1 cupmilk (rice & soy can also be used)
2 clovesgarlic, minced
1/2 teaspoongarlic salt
1/2 teaspoonpepper
2 tablespoonsolive oil

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Brown sausage in skillet, drain. Sauté onion, bell pepper and jalapeno in a skillet using olive oil. Add garlic when mixture is almost done. Spread mixture evenly in pie crust. Combine remaining ingredients and pour into shell over sausage mixture.

Place on a cookie sheet and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until brown.
