Sausage and Vegetable Quiche
|1 9-inch||pie crust (deep-dish works best)|
|3/4 pound||Italian sausage|
|1 1/2 cups||cheddar cheese, grated|
|1/3 cup||onion, diced|
|1/3 cup||bell pepper, diced|
|1||jalapeno, diced (seeds and pith removed)|
|1 cup||milk (rice & soy can also be used)|
|2 cloves||garlic, minced|
|1/2 teaspoon||garlic salt |
|2 tablespoons||olive oil|
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Brown sausage in skillet, drain. Sauté onion, bell pepper and jalapeno in a skillet using olive oil. Add garlic when mixture is almost done. Spread mixture evenly in pie crust. Combine remaining ingredients and pour into shell over sausage mixture.
Place on a cookie sheet and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until brown.
