Larisa Stephenson

Larisa Stephenson hopes to launch her publishing career with her new book, I, Lincoln, Did Not Ask For This. She is also working on a witty memoir and writes monthly in her blog, http://www.thewildmother.blog. Blessed with the angelic gift of deflecting all personal questions (especially in therapy sessions) with humor and a change of subject, you can find her in one of her happy places: at home with her family in NorCal, gardening, cooking, running in the mountains, or writing in a local coffee shop or brewery.

When it comes to cooking, grilling, baking, and fermenting, Larisa relies on family history, cookbooks, conversations with friends, intuition, and whatever veggies and fruits are in-season. She loves going into the backyard garden with her son and figuring out a quick weeknight dinner based on what is ready to be picked (and hasn’t been picked early by their son or eaten by their dog—sneaky buggers!). On the weekends, visiting the local Farmer’s Market is a must and reassurance that local, non-gmo and non-processed food is still thriving. Chatting with the local farmers while their son roams the various vendor’s stalls, life is revitalized, knowledge is gained, and laughter ensues.
