Spicy Blackberry Margarita

Blackberries and jalapeños play nice in this deliciously tart and mildly spicy margarita. Don’t pass on the Tijan rim - Tijan, which is a unique blend of lime, mild chili peppers, and sea salt, brings out the flavors of the fruit and enhances the spice.

Ingredients
Lime wedge + lime wheel
Tajin (optional)
ice
1 jalapeño
1 carton of blackberries
2 oz. tequila
1 oz fresh-squeezed lime juice
Dash of simple syrup

For the simple syrup
1 cup water
1 cup sugar

In a small saucepan, bring sugar and water to a boil. Simmer until sugar is dissolved, 3 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool completely before use.

Directions
Spread Tajin on a small plate. Rub lime wedge on the rim of a rocks glass, dip moistened glass edge in Tajin to coat the rim and fill the glass with ice.

Muddle 2-4 slices of jalapeño (depending on your spice preference) and 5-6 blackberries in your shaker. Fill with ice

Add the tequila, lime juice and a dash of simple syrup to the cocktail shaker then shake.

Strain into the rocks glass filled with ice, garnish with 2 blackberries and 1 slice of jalapeño and enjoy!
