What Do Dad's Really Want for Father's Day?
We Asked CHEFS Dads what they want for Father’s Day. Here are their answers.
Thinking of gifts for dad’s can be a daunting task. They have everything they need, don’t they? Year, after year, I struggle to think of something thoughtful or creative or something he doesn’t have. Well, I decided to ask the experts this time for help. We pulled our dads at chefs and some friends, what would they actually want for Father’s Day. I was surprised to find out there were 5 categories every single one of them mentioned.
Every dad wants some to go knives, and if it is time, maybe a new knife set. Our team specifically would love a knife block set, you just need to figure out what kind of knife guy he is. You really can’t go wrong though because whether it be a Wusthof knife set or a Global knife set, CHEFS has only the best knives to last your dad his lifetime. Specifically mentioned were Global knives and Shun Knives from our team if it helps you narrow down.
#2 Unique Cookware
Every dad has a cookware set or some pots and pans they love but it seems like the dads are asking for some specialty pieces to add to their collection. Hestan came in hot with the Hestan Nanobond Cookware and the Hestan Cue Smart Cooking System. Hestan Nanobound really takes cooking to that next level so it makes sense dads would want to add this cookware to their set. The Hestan Cue Smart Cooking System is super tech focused cooking. A fun new gadget for the kitchen but also helps your dad cook to impress. It synchs to your phone so you can never over cook steak or chicken again. The dads also asked for either a Staub Dutch Oven or Le Creuset Dutch Oven. A beautiful stable for the kitchen and you can use it to braise, stew or cook. Lastly, Lodge Cast Iron Skillets. Talk about something to last a lifetime for an incredible price. Dad’s would use this at home, on the grill or out camping.
#3 Grills & Grill Tools
A popular item for Father’s Day has always been about grilling and grill tools. How can one go wrong with this purchase? Specifically, our dads are asking for great BBQ tools like our Cuisinart Grill Tools. Get your dad a brand-new grill tool set or maybe just a unique new tool like the 2 Piece TriTip Grill Tool Set. Our dads really would like to have the Gefu Barbeque Skewers to add to their collection and the Cuisinart All Food Gas Grill.
#4 Coffee, Espresso & Cappuccino Machines
I was surprised how many dads asked for a pretty expensive coffee & espresso machine. If you have some extra cash and you absolutely love your dad, two incredible machines on our dads’ wish list were the Delonghi Magnifee S Cappuccino Machine and the Jura We8 Pro. These machines are worth every penny for the quality of coffee they produce. Your dad could open up his own coffee shop! J Some other requests were for the De’Longhi Cappuccino Glasses, specifically because they love that they are cool looking and double walled. Lastly, the BonJour Coffee and Tea Maker Cold Brew Pitcher was another favorite.
#5 Wine & Barware
Almost every dad mention something with either wine glasses or cocktail glasses. Some cocktail maker sets or some Moscow mule cups. Some highlights were Schott Zwiesel All Purpose Red Wine Glasses, Ayesha Curry Set of 2 Moscow Mule Mugs, and Ayesha Curry 5-Piece Bar Tool Set. Very trendy at great prices.
